Welcome! We are one of Liverpool’s book clubs whose group is dedicated to modern and contemporary fiction. We also like to delve deeper into the past (or the nineteenth century) when it takes our fancy (or when a major anniversary comes up!). We are passionate about fiction that falls off the usual Richard and Judy radar.
You are welcome to join us on the 1st Monday of every month…
There’s no reading list – we choose our books democratically at every meeting. Our home is Cuthbert’s Bakehouse on Mount Pleasant, Liverpool.
Courtesy of the “Bakehouse Bibliophiles” the Liverpool book clubs rota will be running every first Monday of the month (except for May and June due to the Bank Holidays). For more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org check out their Twitter, Facebook or Blog
Meeting dates so far…
Our next books are 3rd of November when we’ll be reading Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann.
Then on the 5th of January we will review Await Your Reply – Dan Chaon & The Man Who Folded Himself by David Gerrold

Beatles Book Club
Avid Beatles fans meet monthly to discuss Beatles music, books & films.
In February the Beatles book club had a special guest, Julia Baird. Julia talked about stories from her childhood growing up with John and having a famous brother.
“Thank you so much for inviting me to your group…I thoroughly enjoyed it…everyone there was a character…something I love and miss about Liverpool…everyone has their own rainbow…and they are very kind, interesting and interested. It was good to spend time with you all……..Please thank Matthew too…for a lovely venue…we’ll definitely be back there!” Love Julia xxx
Look out in our events calendar for more special guests..
