Purlesque is Jane Richardson and Susan Ryder, who love knitting and craft and decided to make their passion a business back in 2005.
All About the History of Purlesque
Purlesque first opened it’s doors in 2006 as a cute little stall in Grand Central Hall an alternative shopping centre in Liverpool city centre, in 2007 they moved to the Bluecoat arts centre as a bigger and brighter pink and white candy stripe delight.
Finally in 2010 they ventured to a new location, where they are today, on the second floor of Pop Boutique, surrounded by vintage delights and retro inspiration.

Purlesque sells everything from ribbon and ricrac to buttons and bows we are a haberdasher’s heaven.
We love all things crafty and stock yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks and patterns and hope to provide you with inspiration to get crafty!
Susan and Jane are also designer makers and are inspired by vintage and craft instilled with a subversive intent or influence.
