Festive Baking Begins

Well its safe to say festive baking, sugar & spice and all things nice is now well underway with Our little bakery team. We have been busy making our Christmas Cakes for a few months now to ensure they are matured nicely for Christmas - Our Signature chocolate orange & fruit cake this year. A real dark rich fruit cake.

I also made use of the fantastic harvest of apples this year from dad’s orchard, they are the best for some years so we have made a selection of delicious chutneys available to buy.

Yesterday was putting the first touches of Christmas in the shop. When I walked in I was met by the aromas of Mulled Wine, mixed with baking mince pies. After such a rainy few days I was happy to sample it just to make sure it had a balanced of mulling syrup & spices. It definitely warmed my cockles!

Our Festive Afternoon Tea also made its first serving, so far customer favourites.. Christmas Dinner waffle & of course the Egg Nog Custard tart! Book in before the 23rd December to enjoy 15% off during January & February!
